We have a right to know who, in our home, could cause such strange disruptions every night and our alleged landlord bites his tongue and, in doing so, deprives us of our right There is something they won't show And I believe we have the right to know His sad, sedated wife must still believe that her knowing smile would have me rest assured but one look in her medicated eyes and I can tell that something has happened to her And I need you here with me Because there's something they don't want us to see So stay here in the corner of my room He wants to sow a distance between us but I've been listening to his thoughts and I will do what I feel I must We have a right to know I'd like to think we have the right to know And when his trite, contrived Byronic ruse proves itself too useless to maintain I will isolate his family and I will more than gladly drink their pain I'm afraid I cannot let this be And I cannot let them take you from me . . . . . . I return each night to the embrace that, unbeknownst to us, would be our last and I recall your putrefying face that haunts me every moment since you passed

COLD WORLD 02:20
Waking in a corrosive night, I felt the hours sting I regret everything I've done I regret everything I live in a cold world and I'm still here In the prison I have built I choke away my time but how long must I endure this ceaseless natal crime?

about

These two songs were written and recorded during the early stages of this project and have been resurrected by the infamous Slow Club in Freiburg, DE. RIGHT TO KNOW was written and recorded in late 2017 and saw an official release on the COST OF LIVING cassette from Heavy Days records. It is an exploration of the psychic cost of grief, inspired by select pieces of gothic literature. COLD WORLD was the first Profit Prison song. It appeared on the MYRA cassette released by Hospital Productions in 2017. Art and layout by Dr. Karsten Bohm, to whom many thanks are owed for renewing interest in these pieces. This 7" is limited to 300 copies.

NOTE TO INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMERS: Please inquire about shipping rates. Shipping from the US to other parts of the world is often prohibitively expensive. EU customers will be put in direct contact with the label, based in Germany, about shipping rates within the EU.
